Access is via the wooden footbridge; take the stairs next to the statue. Then, either directly opposite, going down, you can make your way to the tip of the island where you're fairly hidden by the vegetation. Or, for the less adventurous, or on busy days, it's possible to find a more secluded spot in the woods, provided you're willing to walk a little further.
