Longer camping on the north side, the beginning of the road is where there is no swimming sign (200m before the entrance of the campsite) a small parking under trees and stones (rectangle) in early path that passes between the Loire and the campsite, go to the end, go down the little iron staircase and cross the dam, up the other side and there under the railway bridge some guys sometimes, super quiet (allow 30 minutes walk / R, with it no risk of there even a cap), go only when the Loire is rather low (in summer) because no other way that the dam to go. (not visible on dam the plan, but visible in satellite view).

Route Angers tourist D952 road to Ardouin Island. Turn right from Saint-Martin-de-la- Place or left coming from Saumur.Au end of this road (100 m) there are large stone. There is also a sign "prohibited discharge". Walk straight to shed concrete or beach later in good weather. Gendarmes spend the summer for identity checks, think of your papers. Coming from the city center and / or the tunnel up to the roundabout (at the parking entrance of the castle), then go straight rue des Moulins. At 200 m there to turn right, then a small car park opposite a panoramic view of Saumur and Loire.En against low on the boardwalk that only drag night at dusk until 23h or midnight in summer. In winter go especially as it's mild and no wind, because the height seen the place is very exposed to the wind and is not sustainable.
