Dunes of Cantine Beach

Between Le Porge and Lacanau, there's a nice, secluded little beach on the south side, sometimes with a very risqué atmosphere. Take the Route des Lacs (Lakes Road), then the Route Forestière 205 (dead end sign) . You'll arrive at a small parking area with a height restriction of 2.10 meters. Walk to the far end of the parking area towards the ocean and go through the barrier. Do not take the cycle path on the left, but a small parallel path heading south. Walk about 500 meters and leave this path on the right, or continue further if you wish. From here to Le Porge-Océan, the more risqué spots converge, but access is significantly shorter from the road than from Le Porge-Océan, where you have to walk several kilometers. Head towards the edge of the dunes and the forest. Depending on the weather and the season, you'll find more or fewer people (a predominantly male atmosphere).
